A Chanel fashion show production is unlike any other runway event out there. Not only do their sets include impressive things like moving carousels, but they often depart from anything traditional when it comes to their presentation. This year’s show included a performance from Florence Welch (of Florence and the Machine) and a giant set where models walked in an interweaving pattern that was truly impressive. Karl Lagerfeld isn’t my favorite designer, but Chanel is one of the most anticipated shows each year. But what does impress me about Karl is, he’s never strayed far from the original designs that make Chanel such a notable design house – something that can’t be said of all designers that take over such a big name. The quilted tweed fabric, signature menswear influence, and beautiful pearl and gold button details are always a standout. Here are some of my favorites from the Chanel Ready-to-Wear Spring 2012 collection.

I wonder which society ladies are already sporting pieces from this beautiful collection?
