Spring 2011 Trends

Bold Use of Highly Saturated Color: the most wearable way to interpret this style is to incorporate one or two great colors with black.  It will make the colors pop without leaving you looking like rainbow brite.

Fendi Spring 2011

Lanvin Spring 2011

Bright and White: what’s more refreshing for spring than a clean white palette? This one is pretty self explanatory, and all white is not only easy, it’s really chic.

Gianfranco Ferre Spring 2011

Viktor & Rolf Spring 2011

Lots of Lace: This one is also an extremely wearable trend, and adds a little romance to any ensamble.

Anna Sui Spring 2011

BCBG Max Azria Spring 2011

Midi Length: It’s not floor length, and it’s not a mini…it’s a midi.  That means the length of the skirt/dress will hit you about mid-calf.  I’m not totally sold on this trend because the length can be less than flattering if your calves aren’t shapely.  It can make the rest of your legs look pretty dumpy, and that’s not helpful for even the skinniest fashion maven.  However, if it hits you in juuuust the right spot in can look very elegant.
